Refugee and Immigrant Subgroup of Worcester Together Response

    June 24, 2026  1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
18 chestnut street, worcester, MA; Walnut Conferece Room

    Dear all,
As agreed upon at our meeting, this will now be recurrent meeting on the 4th wednesday of every month.
Meetings will be in person at 18 Chestnut street unless otherwise noted.

We will continue to collaborate in addressing issues of
    housing
    food
    healthcare
    immigration/legal
    employment
    youth

as it pertains to refugee and immigrant populations.
    thank you
    olga

    From prior email:
As discussed in the previous Worcester Community Response meeting and among some of us - Refugee and Immigrant issues are unique and require a dedicated group across many sectors working to address the needs of these communities.

The goals of this gathering are:
Bring all organizations and entities working closely with refugee and immigrant communities together
Identify key challenges the communities are facing and will likely face in the future and develop possible solutions
Ensure representatives/experts from food, housing and other sectors are at the table to minimize ‘re-inventing of the wheel’ and inform other working groups
Discuss group structure, pattern of meetings and leadership

I believe the hope is for these meetings to happen monthly, ideally in person. Please RSVP to this invite or email me back if this day/time is ‘never good for you’ and i can attempt to find an alternative.
Also, please forward the invite to others who i might be missing. The goal, though, is to have only a couple of individuals per organization so we can have a dialogue (although i understand that some organizations have various departments/programs representatives of which might need to be at the table - i trust everyone’s judgement).
Look forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks
    Olga
